Therapeutic Nutrition Consultations

Tara Carpenter, NC.

Nutrition Consultant specialized in helping people regain natural gut microbiome after yeast, bacteria, or viral infections.

The National Human Genome Research Institute defines microbiome as the community of microorganisms (fungi, bacteria and viruses) that exist in a particular environment. In humans, this term is often used to describe the microorganisms that live in or on a particular part of the body, such as on the skin or in the gastrointestinal tract. These groups of microorganisms are dynamic and change in response to a host of environmental factors (i.e., exercise, diet, medication, etc.).

When you find something that works and brings lasting, positive change then you may want to climb the rooftop and sing out praises! This is how I felt in 2010 upon discovering Body Ecology Diet (B.E.D.), a foundational system of health and healing, that turned the trick to heal a systemic yeast infection that caused me numerous health issues. In 3 years, I brought my gut microbiome back into balance without the use of antibiotics.

As a Nutrition Consultant I now help others heal from yeast, bacteria, and viral infection-related health conditions such as Candidiasis, Group B Strep +, and gastroenteritis. I conduct therapeutic nutrition consultations remotely with individuals of all ages, incl. mothers of young children.

I followed various eating regimes and was most impressed with Tara as she incorporates principles that worked for me (i.e., food combining, anti-fungal foods) brought together in a straight-forward, harmonious approach. ~ Jenny, mother of 2, MI.

Slow and steady wins the race.

Real change, enduring change, often happens one step at a time. This is certainly true when changing one’s way of eating and waiting for the body to kick in gear to an efficient healing mode. I set a slow, steady pace to give ample space for you to comfortably integrate your experience. Most people find me perceptive and meticulously thorough with a step-by-step approach that provides a source of calm in the midst of a healing crisis.

Three months, give or take, is the average amount of time needed on a strict form of therapeutic eating; one that coaxes the body’s natural healing process. Typically the longer you have a health issue, the longer to heal.

Tara’s consults are informative, like chatting over a cup of tea, her words heartwarming. I feel safe and trust her, so important when making life changes! ~ K.L., Tasmania

Everyone comes to healing at different stages.

No matter where you begin your healing or the pace you set I am here to help you integrate your experience, address complications, and answer questions as they rise. If you have a dietary practice that works and looking to smooth out the kinks then bring that to the table. I am adept at several ways of eating, incl. Paleo, Eat 4 Blood Type, Weston A. Price, Low FODMAP, GAPS, Specific Carbohydrate Diet, and Body Ecology Diet.

Changing how you eat often changes how you live, especially long-time habits and patterns. This can cause a temporary disruption as you pull the pieces together and start “walking the walk”. During such a vulnerable time is when I am most called upon … whether to ease your mind as you eat to heal; offer a listening ear; talk you through food combining or the ins and outs of colon cleansing; or making unsalted probiotic food.

I make recipes from a therapeutic meal plan Tara created, like carrot muffins, and ready to go full steam with another consultation. I knew my life would improve when I found you. ~ B.C., Orlando, FL.

Keep your eye on the prize and reach out for support.

I am here to help you begin your healing dietary practice and stay focused in a forward-facing fashion. I have cooked and consulted for people since 1996 as a Therapeutic Chef and as a Nutrition Consultant since 2014. I know the focus required to hit that bullseye each day, each meal. You can do this! I believe in you.
