Therapeutic Chef
Tara Carpenter, NC.
Nutrition Consultant helping people heal yeast, bacteria, and viral overgrowth/infection.

I retired as a Therapeutic Chef to become a Nutrition Consultant to help people heal yeast, bacteria, and viral overgrowth with consultations and meal plans.
I began my career as a Personal Therapeutic Chef in 1996 in Massachusetts then California, Rhode Island, and lastly in Vermont. For 25 years I helped people feel better (sometimes get better) in times of dietary and health concerns. Step by step I studied each person I cooked for, talked to the person, then cooked nutritious, easy to digest meals designed to promote health and well-being. I have cooked for many people with many kinds of health conditions. I have witnessed many transformations in health, including my own.

My general interest in healing with food started when I was 10 years old. I read my mom’s natural food cookbooks cover to cover, exploring the ways food can be prepared. I read every Encyclopedia Brittanica lined up on the shelf in the den (to learn words and word meanings of the human body). I was so lit up about this. I cooked for neighbors with some friends of mine with a menu that changed with the seasons. As I got older I became especially interested in the digestive system (mouth to anus).
The day I completed my expected education (day of my college graduation) I left home to travel across the United States to cook with elder chefs using traditional, medicinal cooking styles. I lived and breathed to learn how to cook whole foods for people with mild to severe health conditions.
Tara individualizes nutritional needs to the dot. I recommend her if you are converting to a healthier lifestyle while leading a busy life ~ K.B., Montpelier, VT.
Altering ingrained habitual ways of eating is hard. I get that. Many people I cooked for had chronic health conditions and symptoms go away with time, attention, and discipline eating a diet customized to meet specific body and life needs. For those facing an end-of-life diagnosis I cooked more strictly.
