These sweet treats are specially created for those on The Body Ecology Diet (B.E.D). This unique way of eating is known to help the body heal by reestablishing the inner ecosystem, eliminate dysbiosis, correct nutrient deficiencies, strengthen adrenals, and conquer systemic infections.
I can personally vouch for the diet working for all of the above as I was on stage 1 for a total of three years. No easy feat, yet I can say that I am all the stronger for having done so. I will say though that missing sweets was real high up on my list of things to desire, lol. Hence this post. Enjoy!
The treats listed below are free of gluten, yeast, refined sugar, or pasteurized dairy; all of which do not have a place on the diet …. all are kid-tested and adult-approved ?
When you remove a beloved food, or a ton of them as you do on this restricted way of eating, then you will likely wish to fill that space with foods that you can eat and enjoy. Taking the time and effort to do thing can make or break your ability to stay on course with a healing protocol like B.E.D.
Just because you start eating a new way doesn’t mean you stop going to parties or craving sweets. You will absolutely still have a social life and sweet tooth. Life keeps going on, despite how you eat. I remember my first Thanksgiving on B.E.D.; at first I found myself feeling sorry for myself that I was so excluded from how I had always celebrated the holiday.
I felt sorry for how much I had to deny myself because of how bad off my health was. Yet, that right there was my turning point. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I made the decision then and there to do this diet full-on and feel good about that. I pulled myself up and committed to having a fun healthy holiday, even if I couldn’t eat half of what was on the serving table. I made it work and hit the bulls-eye every single day; you can too.

Stage 2
Note: Some of the above recipes contain coconut flour and coconut milk. If you’re on stage 1 of B.E.D., you may want to culture both before using. This extra step will introduce enzymes and probiotics and will make an otherwise dense, concentrated food easier to digest. Yes, this takes effort, but no biggie if you get to eat something yummy ?
