I don’t struggle much anymore with digestive issues (i.e. gas, constipation, brain fog) yet I did a few years ago when I had systemic yeast overgrowth candida that took me three continuous years to cleanse from with the help of Body Ecology Diet (B.E.D.). I worked hard to implement new lifestyle and diet changes and feel a lot better now.
One thing I did was take digestive enzymes with each meal. I tried many brands and Assist was the best and most quick-acting (for me). These enzymes got me through the thick of my digestive issues while I implemented diet changes, especially food combining, to get a handle on the yeast overgrowth in my gut.
Assist helped me fit in my clothes again and feel halfway normal. A lifesaver because some days I looked pregnant from the bloating and I felt uncomfortable wearing anything other than pajamas or yoga pants.
Now, if I feel bloating coming on I take Assist and within a half hour I feel much better. I keep them in my purse so I always have them on hand.
If you get bloated, you know that awful feeling in the pit of your stomach and lower back creeping up and often there to stay for hours on end; knowing soon your stomach will distend and feel awful. This is exactly when enzymes can help. I think these capsules are the most effective, plant-based enzymes to help digest food and absorb nutrients.
