Stage 1: Grocery List for The Body Ecology Diet

Stage 1: Grocery List for The Body Ecology Diet

This grocery list is for Stage 1 of Body Ecology Diet (B.E.D.) This short period lasts 3-6 months, depending on your individual health concerns, and whilst the most dramatic and most cleansing, you will likely find yourself swept away stunned with awe at the powerful shifts that occur in your body as healing happens. Sometimes slowly, sometimes all at once.

We are all individual in where we are at any given time. How old we are, what we are most susceptible and vulnerable to, what we crave the most, what we need to grow. Ready to transition to stage 2? Stage 2 grocery list.

The Body Ecology Diet was created by Donna Gates as a natural approach to address yeast, bacterial, or viral overgrowth (i.e. CandidaGBS+). When you take the time to do this diet you give your digestive system the opportunity to rest and repair.

I personally practiced stage one for 3 years. I hit that bullseye every single day. For me this was the amount of time I needed to intuitively know I was ready to move on in how I ate. I have not been the same since. The issues I came into this diet with (i.e. stomach pains, slow digestion, bloating) have never returned, even when I eat food that once brought such suffering.

Jump-start your body to be the self-healing organism you are designed to be.

The foods below are the basics to get you started on The Body Ecology Diet (B.E.D.). These foods have been shown to help your body “rest and repair” and get yeast or bacterial overgrowth under control and start to heal any accompanying damage to the digestive and immune system.

Tips & Tricks to Make Traditional Milk Kefir

Tips & Tricks for Traditional Milk Kefir

I have made kefir for years and learned a lot since I first started in 2011!! Here are my tips and tricks to help you move through your own learning curve that much easier 🙂

See milk kefir recipe here.

#1) I recommend making kefir with Body Ecology starter packets as they contain potent strains of lactobacillus bacteria and beneficial yeast that are hardy and easily travel into your intestines to work their probiotic magic ✨ These probiotics rid of any pathogenic overgrowth in the gut and strengthen digestion. Unlike most probiotics, the ones in this starter aren’t easily destroyed by antibiotics, fluoride, stomach acid, or chlorine. Worth every cent! And much cheaper than any probiotic supplement in the store and more effective on a holistic level. read more

NO Salt Sauerkraut

Sauerkraut, known as kraut, is a popular probiotic food made with cabbage and salt. The salt acts as a natural preservative to keep bad bugs (pathogens) away, while drawing moisture from the cabbage.

Why not add salt…

B.E.D. Yeast infection

Using B.E.D. for Vaginal Yeast Infections

If you get vaginal yeast infections more then you want one then I highly recommend The Body Ecology Diet (B.E.D.). I could go on and on about this way of eating as I personally adhered to stage 1 for 3 years back in 2010 after being diagnosed with a systemic yeast infection (included tons of itching and discomfort down below).

Hands down, I think B.E.D. is one of the best yeast killing, yeast balancing protocols out there.

Tips for Making Bubbly Jelly ?

See the bubbles?!
Check out the bubbles!

Regular jelly isn’t ‘allowed’ on The Body Ecology Diet (B.E.D); which recommends to avoid sugar (except lakanto, stevia, ecobloom) until your gut is in a better place. Until then it’s best to kefir jelly with probiotics to reduce the concentrated fruit sugar. Your belly might thank you 🙂 Here’s my recipe for bubbly blueberry jelly

Over the years I’ve learned a thing or two about making probiotic-rich jelly taste good and want to share my tips for getting good results every time:
